Basic Family Tree

When making your basic family tree your first step is to how you are going to design it. Will you be designing it by hand? Designing it on the computer? Designing it online? There are many online templates you can download to make your basic family tree special. You can also display it online and have it private for only family to see. You can even make it so family members that may be far away can go online and add to information to the tree it they like. Another way to make your basic family tree is you can buy an already outlined family tree book and just fill in the blanks. When starting with your basic family tree you want to start simple so just start with your side of the family. You can always branch out  more and include more intermediate family members later on. You want to start simple then branch out from there as you learn more and research more your family history. 

Here is the Basics

When starting out your basic family tree as stated before you just want to start with your side of the family starting with the grand parents, your parents and so on and so forth.    Here is an example of how it will go in order:

• Grand Mother

• Grand Father

• Your Mother

• Your Father

• You (and siblings if you want to or you can incorporate them later on)

• Your spouse

• Your children ( the Grandkids)

That is it you are then done building your basic family tree. This is your simplest basic family tree format to start with when beginning making a family tree. Once you got the basic family tree down you can then research into your family history more and add more people like siblings if you have any and who they married, their kids they had so on and so forth till growing your tree ever so slightly. You can ever incorporate your spouse and his side of the family into your tree. To do this though it is best to start with your basic family tree.

Don’t Forget the Pictures

Old photos, and documents can also add to your basic family tree. So gather all the old photos and documents, then as you build on fr your simple basic family you can also include photos and maybe put photos by each name of the family member..

Making your family tree  can be easy or difficult depending on the size of the family.
